Busy Weekend!

This weekend was so so nice! AND BUSY! Thursday Rebekah (Matt's little sister) graduated from BYU, the first COLLEGE graduate in their family since Bob or President De Rosa as most of you know him, CONGRATS AGAIN BEKAH!! I had to work so I was not able to attend the ceremonies but afterwards we all went to Biaggi's for dinner courtesy of my in laws. Then it was home to bed because we were all exhausted. She had the diploma ceremony Friday morning but Matt's parents didn't wake us because they said we looked really tired. Friday Matt and I went to my parents house because I had to help Madeline (my lil sis) with her hair for PROM! Both of the twins got asked to Junior prom this year although they're only Sophomores ( I wasn't cool enough to get asked when I was that age), and they both looked beautiful and had fun! We went to dinner that night with President Weidler and his wife Gerti because they were in town for their sons wedding, and Lyndsay and Chasey came along, as well as Matt's whole family and my sister Hayley. We had some good mexican food and some awesome laughs! Then, Lynds and Chasey decided to stay in Salt Lake to see Pres. off and Chasey would have to come back up to Salt Lake in the morning anyway so they got a hotel room by the airport and we partied! Then we came home and watched Nick and Norah's  Infinite Playlist with my sister and after that, and dropping her off at home, it  was time for bed. Saturday was our relaxation day. We ran a few errands, Matt got some new video games, Soul Caliber 4 and Dead Space(scary), and I got new pants! Oh and Sleeping Beauty on Blu-Ray. Then we went to my parents for a bit and hung out, then we came home and chilled. Matt taught me how to play Soul Caliber so that I could play the Play Station with him, and that was about it. Sunday we did church, went to Mike and Holli's for meatballs and had a family dinner including my parents. Then once again it was home to relax. We had a good weekend! I love my husband!

Lucky

I am so lucky. I don't know if you ever think about how lucky you are, but I've been thinking about it a lot lately.
I'm lucky to have
My husband by my side always
The knowledge that Matt and I will be together for Eternity.
My loving family
My awesome, caring friends
A JOB!
The ability to pay all my bills, and feed my tiny family
A nice place to live in
In-laws that support their children no matter what
Senses like sight, smell, feeling, hearing

I'm going to try and blog about something I'm thankful for once a week... we'll see how successful this is... lol
I'm kind of forgetful.

Monday, Monday.

Today has been such an awesome day!!! I woke up and just laid in bed with Matt for like twenty minutes talking about the dreams we had last night. Then we decided to play some Wii before I had to get ready for work. We raced some good races on Mario Kart! Then I slowly started to get ready for work, and Matt made me lunch! He's such a sweetheart! So I headed to work, dealt with awesome passengers and came home! Matt had cleaned his office, and done the dishes and made the bed! He's the best! Then he went with me to get my hair trimmed! It was starting to be blegh! Not too long, but just long enough to be annoying. Now we're just relaxing and enjoying the weather and each others company! Such a nice day!

Saturday Night Fire!

This weekend has been pretty fun, and pretty relaxed. Matt's time at this lame company is coming to an end so he's been less stressed! Friday night we went to the University of Utah baseball game at the former Franklin Covey Field. Matt and Jenn came and it was pretty fun. We also saw a missionary that served in NY when we all lived out there. For any of you who remember Elder Matt Neil he's doing good, going to BYU and playing on the BYU baseball team, I don't think he's married yet, but we'll give him another semester...
Then we came back to our house and watched Flight of the Navigator because I hadn't seen it in forever, and Jenn hadn't ever seen it. It was fun, and its still a good movie! We had scones and played the Wii too!

Then Saturday Matt and I slept in, so nice, then we got up and I started to get ready to go hang out with Jenn, we were going on the hunt for cute shoes!!! Before we went, Matt and I drove to Sam's Club and had a quick cheap lunch. They have pretty good pizza there and you can get two big slices and two big drinks for like $5! Matt also let me buy a pair of jeans because I'm gaining weight (sigh) and I barely have any pants. I've got to get to the gym. Ugh.  So after our awesome adventure of not being able to find any shoes for Jenn (stores suck) we headed back to the house to get ready for a bonfire!  Matt and Jenn invited us to go with them and some of their other friends to the other side of Utah Lake for a bonfire! It was a blast! We just talked and joked and roasted marshmallows and hot dogs! We didn't get home til pretty late but it was all good because we had so much fun.

Today so far has just been relaxing and cleaning up a bit, laundry and what not. We're cooking dinner now, pork chops and potatoes. Then we'll sit down and watch either Madagascar 2 or Bride Wars. Possibly some episodes of Bones, or Fringe, who knows. I love relaxing weekends!

NEW NEW NEW!

Lots of changes in the past weeks! Well... not LOTS but a few good ones for sure!

FIRST- for those who haven't heard, I have a new work schedule! I lucked out and got the same days, Monday thru Thursday, but my hours are SO much better! I work 1 pm to 6 pm. No more waking up at 3 AM!!! WOOP!
SECOND- Matt FINALLY found another job! He interviewed with Comcast on Monday and got the JOB! I am SO SO SO relieved. Not only will he be making more, with guaranteed hours but we also get our Comcast service free now, thats $80 a month extra and 1 less bill for me to worry about! I'm so stoked. He starts May 4th, and his hours for at least the first 2 months will be M-F 8 to 5! YES! Things are looking up!
THIRD- This hasn't happened yet... but we are getting a niece in like a week and a half! HUZZAH! I'm so happy! Life is so good right now, and I really hope in continues to be so great!

Although, when you get to see your best friend everyday how could life be bad!?! I love Matt, he's the best husband ever, and I say this a lot, but he is so smart, and so devoted and hardworking. He takes good care of me! AND he puts up with me! I just love him!!!!

Fake!

I keep getting faked out! I think I'm getting better, then it all goes down hill again. Ugh. Matt came home early for me last night because this illness has made me so dis-functional. He got home, gave me some medicine and a bottle of water and made me lay down in the bed. I fell asleep for a couple hours then woke up, and took more Zicam (ew) and then I ate a yogurt. Then I went to bed again.  I woke up a couple of times during the night, and fell back asleep.  I woke up when Matt had to go to work, then I slept some more. I don't think I can sleep anymore, I just want to get better! UGH!

Lots to do!

Lucky for me, I'm feeling a bit better finally! I think the anti-biotic is starting to work! I still have a little sore throat, and my head aches, and my nose is stuffed, but my body doesn't ache anymore! Today, so far (after taking my nap after work ;p) I have stripped the bed, put clean sheets on and washed our blanket (next time I'll take it to the laundry mat, it barely fit in the washer), now I'm just doing laundry. I have to wash everything because I don't want to get Matt's dad sick while he's here for conference, and I certainly don't want to get Hollie sick, she's having my niece soon! So, I'm just trying to get the house cleaned before this weekend, we'll be having the family over for conference.

One more thing.... I am so grateful for such good family! On both sides! I just feel really blessed!!!!

To blog, or not to blog...

Like my sister-in-law just said to me, blogging is so addictive.  I probably log on 3 or 4 times daily to read what's going on in every body else's lives. Its a super way to keep in touch with people, especially when you're not huge on talking on the phone (that would be me, I don't know why, I'm just not a huge fan). I love to see the pictures too! Bowen and Shay have the cutest baby! And Matt and Jenn always have awesome pictures to depict the fun they had, and Lynds and Chasey are so active and family oriented and SO pregnant! I just love it! I have just recently learned how to add pictures onto my page. =)  Most of the time I don't have anything special to blog about, or I blog about random things that no one cares about but me, and a lot of the time I vent.  Its like an internet diary that everyone gets to read.

I get to...
BRAG ABOUT MY AWESOME HUSBAND!
VENT ABOUT WORK, TRAFFIC, MISTAKES I MAKE, AND WHATEVER ELSE I NEED TO
INFORM PEOPLE OF FUN OR IMPORTANT THINGS THAT HAPPEN TO OUR TINY LITTLE FAMILY OR OUR EXTENDED FAMILY
RELIVE FUN WEEKENDS
RECOMMEND BOOKS OR MOVIES...
and so much more!

I LOVE BLOGGING!

Sick, sick, sick.

I felt really crappy last night and Matt got me some Tylenol, and then I started to feel so much better.  I did go to the doctor yesterday also and she prescribed me an antibiotic, it hasn't started to work yet. I got up this morning and I felt pretty blah, but I went to work anyways, my whole body was aching and my head hurt and my throat hurt, and oh my.  I finally, after about and hour or so of debating in my head, decided to go home. I left work with only two hours left. I didn't think it was worth it to be miserable at work.  Anyways, I came home and Matt tucked me in and got me medicine and I slept, and slept, and slept. It felt really good. I still feel like crap, but Matt went and bought me Zicam, its supposed to help with colds, so we'll see. Also, Matt is making us Manicotti! Its my fave Italian dish, I'm so stoked!!! YAY! I'm so tired of being sick, my house is getting messy, and even though Matt's a good help, he just doesn't clean it like I do.
